In light of new government lockdown restrictions, we have outlined below how each of our charity services will be impacted during this second national lockdown. Contact details for each service can be found under the relevant section.
We are available on Uber Eats!
Whilst our building will be closed in line with government restrictions, we will be operating an Uber Eats limited menu from this Friday (6 November) to ensure customers can still enjoy Malt Cross quality offerings throughout lockdown. Delivery hours will be Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday (2pm – 10pm). One member of the kitchen team will be running the entire arrangement to minimise risk of infection.
Pub Quiz goes virtual (Mondays)
The Malt Cross Pub Quiz will now take place via our Facebook Page (@maltcrossnotts). Quiz Master Jake Cornes will be running the Malt Cross quiz remotely at 7.30pm every Monday.
All calls to our landline are advised to reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org where messages will be picked up each morning and evening.
Children, Young People and Families
Our Children, Young People, and Families services will be continuing to run as the second UK lockdown comes into effect. The adapted YMCA Childcare and YMCA Day Camps programmes will be running. Please see our webpages for more information on the temporary changes to these programmes.
As stated early this year, YMCA Adventure Guides and OnSide will also be returning in 2021. We are acknowledging and adhering to government guidelines and will update you in real time, if and when changes to our services occur.
YMCA Newark and Sherwood
Our YMCA Community and Activity Village will be closed to the public from Thursday 5 November. This closure will be reviewed on Wednesday 2 December in line with government guidelines.
- The gym doors will close from Thursday 5 November until Wednesday 2 December in line with government restrictions, at which time the state of play will be reviewed.
- All active gym memberships will be frozen and all payments suspended until further notice.
- CrossFit members will be able to access a daily live streamed online class which will be available at a later time in the Facebook group.
- CrossFit members also have the opportunity to borrow equipment if they support the charity by continuing to pay their membership fees.
Our YMCA Housing key-workers continue to work hard through the national lockdown to provide 24-hour life-saving support and guidance for homeless individuals across Nottinghamshire and East Riding of Yorkshire. We therefore still welcome online housing applications if you are homeless or know someone in need of housing support.
YMCA Children’s Residential Care
Our committed staff team continues to work through this second national lockdown to deliver 24-hour care for at-risk young people living in our children’s care homes in the community across Nottinghamshire and East Riding of Yorkshire.
Service updates for our other YMCA services will be advised in due course.
