YMCA Mansfield residents show their courage at Sherwood Pines

Wonderful to see residents from our Multiple Complex Needs (MCN) Service in Mansfield enjoying a day trip to Sherwood Pines adventure park, in Edwinstowe, with Nottinghamshire YMCA’s staff support team.

Accompanied by YMCA’s Ildiko Krumpek, Link Worker Lyndsey Smith Key and Informed Trauma Support Counsellor Janice Grant, our charity’s residents enjoyed everything from Segways to a picnic lunch and hot chocolates in the beautiful park setting during their team-building activities day.

Sherwood Pines is an engaging outdoor adventure venue where groups can explore the stunning forest canopy through a route that tests agility, teamwork and courage.

Janice Grant, whose role is part-funded by Comic Relief, works to support individuals with navigating personal challenges to support rebuilding their lives after homelessness and described the day as ‘a wonderful opportunity for residents’.
