On Saturday 6 June, YMCA England and Wales is asking supporters across the globe to digitally come together and celebrate our movement’s birthday by submitting photos of members, participants and volunteers using the tag #YMCAChallenge.
YMCA was founded by George Williams on 6 June 1844 and, during this time of isolation, we think taking part in this challenge is a great way to remember the meaning of community by socially reconnecting with others.
To take part, simply take a photo of yourself doing the YMCA dance moves (try and recruit other members in your household!), make a donation using the link below (not essential but any support will be warmly received), then tag your friends and family on social media asking them to do the same to continue this positive chain.
We would love to see as many of you involved as possible!
Let’s see how much we can raise for our homeless community in the process: https://www.nottsymca.com/covid-homeless-appeal/
