STEAM Learning and Fun!
At our clubs, we provide children with engaging activities which keep their minds, bodies and spirits healthy. We have access to our own fantastic childcare area with lots of space both indoors and outdoors for creative activity and play. This space allows us to deliver a fantastic range of activities including crafts, indoor and outdoor sports like soft archery, dodgeball, football and STEAM sessions. STEAM focuses on science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics, providing children with something new and engaging whilst also being educational. Children will take part in interactive activities and will have the opportunity to discuss what careers could be available within these fields. We want children to see what is possible for themselves and what they can achieve in the future.
Some of our brilliant STEAM activities include crystal and slime making, den building, K’nex building challenges, mask making, bottle rockets, and much more!
Our Play Leaders strive to be positive role models for the children. They work to create a positive and safe learning environment that supports the children in building their confidence, enhancing their education and enjoying the time they spend with us.
Health and Safety
Our team have put a number of positive hygiene measures in place to keep children safe when they attend our clubs. We will be continually reviewing them throughout each term, in line with government guidelines and updates.
Our COVID-19 Safety Plan outline the actions and expectations of YMCA staff, parents and children. Please make sure you familiarise yourself with them before your child attends a session. Read the plan on our website here. If there are any updates to these measures, you will receive a notification email or call.
