What is RoomSponsor?
The RoomSponsor Partnership was set up in 2021 to deliver supported housing to young people aged 16-35 years.
Donors like you contribute a regular gift of £12 a month to support YMCAs in their provision of wrap-around care to young people in supported-accommodation, and to help fund our research and campaign work.
Each week 83 young people face the risk of homelessness across the East Midlands. By becoming a RoomSponsor using the link below your money will go to the YMCA Robin Hood Group to help young people in Nottinghamshire.
So, what can your £12 actually do? Lots!
- It can provide a starter pack for new residents: provision of bedding, kitchen utensils or clothing to young people who come to YMCA with very little.
- It can provide counselling services or additional mental health support including complex needs therapists to support the most vulnerable young people.
- It can provide education & skills assistance with focused support to engage and encourage young people into education or work.
- It can help with housing refurbishment & updates, furnishing additional communal areas for residents, increasing bed spaces, or IT suites with up-to-date technology.
- It can provide wellbeing activities promoting positive engagement through art classes, sports, music, or recreational trips.
