Local business donates face masks to protect YMCA keyworkers

Nottinghamshire YMCA is so grateful for local company, Footfalls and Heartbeats, for generously donating much appreciated batches of face masks to help protect YMCA frontline staff members who are working at our charity’s supported accommodation across the region.

“On behalf of every keyworker at YMCA, I would like to express our deepest gratitude to Footfalls and Heartbeats for kindly contributing face masks that are keeping our charity workers safe during this uncertain period,” said Keiron Carlisle, Domestics Manager at Nottinghamshire YMCA.

“At a time when infection transmission is a high risk across the country, the importance of PPE for ensuring the safety of both our frontline workers and vulnerable residents cannot be overstated.

“Our team members were particularly touched by the warm sentiments of compassion and care shown in a heartfelt letter of support that accompanied the donation. It brought warmth and strength by helping YMCA staff members to feel valued in their work supporting the charity’s formerly homeless residents during the coronavirus outbreak.

“With our domestics, maintenance and Housing keyworkers continuing to support residents with their physical and mental wellbeing during this pandemic, it is empowering to see local businesses adopting a real sense of social responsibility to ensure no one gets left behind.”
