Former Housing Manager raises support for residents during pandemic

We would like to dedicate special thanks to our charity’s former YMCA Housing Development Manager, Christie Sparrow.

Thanks to Christie’s fantastic efforts of arranging a collection around her local area, YMCA residents have received a wonderful array of food parcels, toiletries and clothes – not to mention the lovely cakes for our keyworker staff team – to help them feel valued during the coronavirus lockdown.

Christie said: “Since resigning from my position of Housing Development Manager at the Y to extend my maternity leave with my second child, I have retrained and now teach Mindfulness Meditation courses. As you can probably guess, I can’t leave Housing behind and once we went into lockdown my thoughts very quickly turned to the residents and the YMCA keyworkers supporting them, so even in a small way I’m glad we’ve been able to help.

“I’m so pleased that our donations are making a difference and will continue to collect for as long as we are able.”
