Christmas volunteers needed to support YMCA Housing residents!

Nottinghamshire YMCA’s housing team warmly invites adults in Nottinghamshire and Goole who wish to do something good this Christmas to get in touch!

Whether you enjoy cooking, playing games, clearing up or chatting over a cup of tea – our hostels will be hosting a programme of activities over the festive period that would enormously benefit from your support and involvement.

We are specifically looking for support over Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. If you can only do a couple of hours, please still get in touch as we are allocating time slots to help accommodate volunteers where possible and ensure the festivities are enjoyable for everyone!

While many of us look forward to the festive period spending time with family and friends, for some of the vulnerable adults we support Christmas can be a stressful, isolating and often an incredibly lonely time.

That is why we are excited to bring a caring, festive energy into the range of activities we have planned to ensure each YMCA resident feels supported and appreciated this Christmas. Activities will range from cooking and hosting Christmas dinner to quizzes and games.

Our charity’s supported accommodation spans across Nottingham city centre, Mansfield, Worksop and Goole (East Riding of Yorkshire) – so wherever you are based, please get in touch as there are plenty of opportunities to get involved and give something back this Christmas.
