The Sunday Times will honour Nottinghamshire YMCA at a national awards ceremony next month after praising the charity in their ‘Best Companies’ survey.
Nottinghamshire YMCA, which works to support vulnerable adults and young people, has been recognised in the ‘not-for-profit’ category of the national newspaper’s annual ‘Best Companies’ survey for 2019. Most notably, the charity was awarded top score ratings for ‘staff engagement’ and ‘leadership and management’.
Created by The Sunday Times to promote ‘a better workplace’ for all, the survey invites employees from around the UK to complete a questionnaire evaluating the different areas of their workplace.
To qualify in the ‘not-for-profit’ category, companies must employ at least 50 employees, achieve one of the highest ‘Best Companies Index’ scores and be a public organisation such as a charity or company set up for community benefit.
Dedicated to promoting social responsibility and affordable services for all, Nottinghamshire YMCA delivers a variety of family and youth development programmes ranging from childcare and day camps to Adventures Guides. The charity also provides supported housing for adults and young people, including transitional homes and residential care provisions for children.
