Sports and Play Leader
(Nottinghamshire)
We are recruiting for an experienced childcare professional to deliver daily operations of the Breakfast / After-School Club at Djanogly Northgate Academy, Edgewood Primary and Nursery School and Camp Williams. You will also plan, prepare and deliver inspired coaching and activity sessions for children and young people ate our YMCA Day Camps.
You will draw on your qualifications, skills, and experience to engage children in safe and enjoyable sports, craft and STEM activities. Day to day tasks will include maintaining records and registers, supervising off-site and on-site activities and administering first aid. Supervising work experience trainees, volunteers, and temporary staff will also be part of this role.
Experienced in leading sports and STEM sessions for children aged 4 to 11 years, you will be dedicated to maintaining high standards, health and safety and other legal requirements associated with play activities. The ability to organise a range of activities and keep administrative records to high standards is essential.
Promoting positive relationships in a fun and safe environment will be at the forefront of everything that you do. You will contribute to the enjoyment and healthy development of children, following Nottinghamshire YMCA policies and procedures and OFSTED National Standards.
You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills – liaising with parents and school staff. Most importantly, you will uphold our core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility in all of the work that you do.
