Casual Residential Social Care Workers (Goole)

Are you ready to make a difference? We are looking for Casual Residential Social Care Workers to provide care and support in our safe and nurturing homes for vulnerable children.

If you would like to work for an organisation who genuinely cares about its employees, offers an excellent benefit package, believes in training and development and enables staff to be the very best they can be, then this may be the role for you.

The Role

Your role as a Residential Social Care Worker will be to provide care and support to children and young people living in our residential homes.

You will work with the children every day to increase their social skills, education, health, and independence, as well as helping them to develop confidence and emotional well-being. You will ensure that they are safeguarded at all times whilst in your care. You will also plan and join in with activities and undertake a range of administrative tasks for which you will be trained in.

Our ideal candidate will have the Diploma 3 Health and Social Care qualification and experience of working in residential social care environments however this is not essential. If you want to support children and young people, have an interest in self-development and learning and consider yourself a good team player we would love to hear from you.

We have commissioned the services of a Consultant Forensic Psychologist and Clinical Lead Practitioner who is responsible for the delivery of a Trauma informed Clinical Model of care. The clinician supports our staff and young people directly to complete assessment, training and evaluation which encourages knowledge transfer from training into practice.

We will support you to achieve your Diploma level 3 and 5 qualifications and maximise your potential within the Children’s Residential service.

Shift patterns may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, bank holidays and awake nights (from 10.00pm to 8.30am). Some lone working will be required.

How to apply
Please download and return an application form to recruitment@nottsymca.org.

This post is subject to a DBS check at an Enhanced level and registration to the Update Service, (which we will pay for). Please note a full and thorough application form is required to meet Ofsted requirements and if successful timely completion of pre employment checks will also be required.
