Help a YMCA resident feel valued this festive season
By donating a gift to our hostels, your single act of kindness could make a YMCA resident feel special and valued at a time when they need your support most.
We believe that no one should feel unloved at Christmas. With lockdown adding an extra layer of social isolation for homeless individuals, this year’s festive season is shaping up to be an extremely challenging time for our most vulnerable community members.
That is why our YMCA’s Housing team is calling out for supporters to contribute towards our charity hampers by buying a gift or making a donation to help us ensure every one of our formerly homeless residents wakes up to a present to open on Christmas morning.
You can either donate a gift via our Amazon Wishlists below, sponsor a gift online or drop off presents at your local YMCA hostel reception (please follow all government safety guidelines).
Suggested gift items include: arts and craft activities, stationery, 2021 diaries/calendars, perfumes/aftershaves, body creams, hair products, hats, scarves, gloves, sweets/chocolates/biscuits gifts, slippers, blankets, keyrings and toiletry gift sets. We also warmly welcome wrapping materials (labels, wrapping paper, decorations, cards etc.).

Buying an item from our Amazon Wishlist is easy! Using the Amazon Wishlist link, just add items to your basket and proceed to the online checkout as usual; upon completion of payment, your gifts will be delivered directly to our YMCA hostels ready for wrapping so a resident can enjoy opening your present on Christmas Day!
Thank you so much.
