YMCA gym member on Supersize vs Superskinny

Joanne has just rejoined the YMCA gym after completing 6 weeks of diet training with Dr Christian on Channel 4’s Supersize vs Superskinny.

Joanne was a member of the YMCA gym in 2012, however, she wasn’t seeing the results she wanted because of her eating habits. So she contacted Channel 4’s Supersize vs Superskinny who helped her lose 16 lbs in 6 weeks!

Joanne has now renewed her membership to continue losing weight and to tone her body after such dramatic weight loss.

“I’m going to do Zumba with my daughter and I like the look of Boxfit and the Synrgy360 classes. The gym is close to where I work and there are a lot of classes in the evening so I’ve got no excuse! I struggled to stay motivated before, but now I’ve lost weight, I think I’ll enjoy exercising a lot more.”

As part of the programme, Channel 4 took Joanne to America to meet Khalila Morse who is 43 stone. They told Joanne this is how she would look if she continued eating fatty, processed food. The shock of meeting Khalila, whose eating habits were not much different to Joanne’s, made Joanne determind not to ever reach that stage.

Joanne now describes her diet as ‘clean eating’ and says that she has lost even more weight since her ‘big reveal’ on Supersize vs Superskinny.

Joanne told the Nottingham Post: “The show was hard work but worth it. At first, I found myself feeling exhausted and having no energy, but once Dr Christian showed me how to incorporate protein into my diet by eating egg for breakfast and nuts if I want a snack, I now eat less and feel energised the whole day.”

Joanne’s goal weight is nine stone, and the YMCA will now be helping her achieve that!
