We want your calories not your cash!
The aim of the Big Calorie Burn is to raise awareness of the rising issue of obesity and encourage people to get active.
The main feature of the Big Calorie Burn will be continuous calorie burning at the 24 hour YMCA gym from 12:00pm on Monday 13th – 12:00pm on Friday 17th January 2014. So whenever you feel like donating some calories, come along to the YMCA gym.
Anyone can donate calories they have burned through any mode of exercise they choose. So whether you want to come into the gym, walk your dog or donate your class’ PE lesson, you can all take part!
The campaign will be based in the YMCA gym on Shakespeare Street and non-members will be able to receive a free gym pass so they can come in and burn their calories.
Everyone who donates their calories will be entered into a prize draw.
