The atmosphere is a little more relaxed, and there is always one of our Coaches in attendance to offer tips and advice.

Hit the ground running with our fundamentals course. New 1871 members must attend the fundamentals course.
Over three sessions, we’ll guide you through the movements and skills that you are likely to encounter during 1871 sessions. You’ll find out how to get the most out of each workout, we’ll drill weightlifting, gymnastic and plyometric movements. We’ll show you scales, progressions and movement standards, and we’ll introduce you our community ethos: No-one gets left behind.
There will be plenty of time to ask questions, there is no obligation to join and ability is not a prerequisite.

Workout on our stationary bikes. Sessions incorporate sprints, hill climbs and recovery.
Try spin express for a shorter session.
Try spin fusion for a session that combines spin and movements off the bike.

Originally developed as a martial art in 13th-century China, Tai Chi combines deep breathing and relaxation with flowing movements to promote health by reducing stress and improving posture, balance and general mobility.
An instructor led gym floor workout which could include use of the CV and resistance machines, free weights and/or bodyweight to offer a different workout each time.
A fast paced time priority workout aiming to complete as many rounds as possible of the given exercises.
