Job Vacancy

Youth Engagement Support Worker

Are you passionate about providing housing and supported housing services to young adults? Do you possess a background in developing support programmes targeted at young people? Can you demonstrate an ability to initiate and implement meaningful change? We would love to hear from you.

The Role
We are looking for an individual with a working knowledge of the welfare system and a good understanding of the needs of young people in relation to housing and support services to lead in developing a resident engagement programme. You will ensure that our young people are engaged in developing and running projects to sustain their tenancies and support independence.

Your success as a Youth Engagement Support worker will be measured by your effective skills of negotiation and the ability to establish and maintain effective working partnerships. You will manage conflict and diffuse situations with confidence and will possess knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and statutory frameworks. Ultimately, success in this role will result in young people living healthier, happier and more stable lives.

You will apply your caring, motivating and professional attitude to engage, and build trust and rapport with young people within our services.

We think we’re an excellent organisation to work for. We will support you with training and opportunities for progression where appropriate and we provide a significant programme of workplace benefits including YMCA gym membership, green travel loans, volunteer leave and wellbeing support.

How to apply
This post is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check (which we will pay for) and registration with the DBS Update Service.

To apply, please complete an application form and return via email to recruitment@nottsymca.org

Please note we are unable to accept CV’s unless accompanied by a standard application form.
