Refugee Tenancy Sustainment Officer (Nottingham) 

Nottinghamshire YMCA is recruiting for a passionate, dedicated person to join our Housing team as a Refugee Tenancy Sustainment Officer, based at our hostel for adults (18+) on Shakespeare Street in Nottingham City Centre.

Our ideal candidate will be an expert in supporting refugee residents to gain key tenancy sustainment skills to achieve independent living. You will be someone who can interact with people from all walks of life, providing regular outreach services to refugees in our schemes and  be able to motivate people to achieve their potential.

As well as supporting our refugee residents face to face, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining effective partnerships with Refugee Community Organisations (RCOs), permanent housing providers and other external support services for the Refugee community.

Organisation is key to this role and your caring and professional service user focus will be second to none. It is crucial that you are flexible in your approach, to ensure that our service users’ needs are met and that you are able to fully support them on their journey to independence.

Department: YMCA Housing
Responsible to: City Housing Manager
Location: Shakespeare Street but with travel to other sites throughout the city and the county on a regular basis
Hours: 37.5 to include weekends, evenings and early mornings  
Salary: Competitive salary
