Referral and Placements Officer

An exciting new job vacancy has arisen to join YMCA’s Settled Care children’s residential service in Nottinghamshire.

You will be responsible for collating referral information across the department and work with a wide range of stakeholders including local authorities to ensure referrals are considered in a timely and efficient manner. You will build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external partners and will use your proven communication skills to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people.  

You will have experience of working in a Childrens social care setting, as well as experience of assessing and understanding the vulnerability risks of children and young people in care. With an eye for detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to produce accurate reports to a variety of audiences including the Executive Management Team you will create and maintain associated systems and processes, therefore experience of using a wide range of application such as Excel is required.

You will draw on your qualifications, skills, and experience to make sound informed decisions and will be responsible for managing your workload and working under pressure.

Working with the Operations Manager, you will be pivotal in supporting the ambitious growth plan of the Settled Care Department.  

This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check for which we will pay.

Location: Nottingham (must be willing to travel to other operational regions)          
Department: YMCA Settled Care
Responsible to: Operations Manager
Hours: Full-time – 37.5 hours per week
Salary: Circa £24,000 per annum dependent on experience with access to professional qualifications and developmental opportunities
