Operations Manager (Service Delivery) – YMCA Housing

We are recruiting for an experienced Operations Manager to provide transformational leadership, manage complex budgets and deliver clear direction to inspire our YMCA Housing team to improve the lives of vulnerable adults and young people across Nottinghamshire.

Do you have experience of leading and managing housing services or housing support programmes delivery at a senior level? If you possess a current in-depth knowledge of developments in housing legislation and best practice, and have a passion to make a difference in the lives of adults and young people – our Housing and Support team would love to hear from you!

The holder of this role will provide transformational leadership and clear direction whilst demonstrating an ability to manage complex budgets, and the skills to secure funding through the writing of bids and applications, and the ability to monitor funding programmes. Our ideal candidate will be confident in supporting the development of our core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.

You will have extensive experience of working with housing and statutory funding streams, or will possess extensive experience managing community asset development programmes and training contracts, as well as an in-depth knowledge legislation of safeguarding adults, homelessness, refugees and asylum seekers, benefits and the welfare system.

You will possess a broad experience of managing diverse teams, and excellent skills of negotiation and persuasion, which will be demonstrated through the highest level of communication skills, required to manage change in a high performance culture.

Qualified to at least Level 4 in a Housing or Learning and Development related subject, a Level 4 management or Business qualification will be an advantage. You will be motivated and organised, with the ability to multi-task and understand the needs of people from diverse communities.

Operations Manager (Service Delivery)  

Department: YMCA Housing
Responsible to: Head of Service
Location: Head Office at Nottingham Voluntary Action Centre in Nottingham city centre, with regular travel to regional YMCA sites      
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, to include evenings and weekends as required. Additional hours will be required to fulfil this role   
Salary: £40,000 per annum
