A rare job opportunity has arisen to join our central Finance team as we are recruiting for a Management Accountant at YMCA.
We are recruiting for a Management Accountant (part CIMA / ACCA qualified) with an extensive use of SAGE (or similar) payroll packages to provide effective advice to managers in relation to financial issues. You will be responsible for the delivery of monthly management accounts, working closely with the senior leadership of finance to ensure that forecast and budgets are completed in a timely manner.
In addition, you will utilise a collaborative approach with other colleagues from all areas of the association toprovide financial information, support and advice. You will provide leadership for the Finance ledger team, overseeing payroll, banking and cash, and sales and purchase ledger processes, whilst supporting and guiding budget-holders and managers on the recognition of income in the correct period. You will monitor and review existing financial controls and procedures and will possess an excellent knowledge of accountancy practices and procedures, as well as a knowledge of VAT issues, pensions law, HMRC regulations and pay legislation.
