L3 Senior Play Leader

An incredible new opportunity to join YMCA’s Childcare department is open for applications now!

The Role
We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic Senior Play Leader to drive the day-to-day operations at some of our most popular childcare settings.

As an experienced childcare professional, you will manage the Breakfast and After-School clubs at Middleton Primary and Nursery School (Wollaton) during term-time, and support operations at our brilliant Wollaton Holiday Club based at Middleton Primary in the school holidays.

Working closely with our Assistant Operations Manager and Childcare and Camps Co-ordinator, you will have an excellent rapport with parents and carers, children, colleagues, and school staff. You will plan and deliver exceptional play activities, inspiring your team to ensure our programme maintains high standards of play through a fun, safe and positive programme of activities. You’ll champion our Core Values of Caring, Respect, Responsibility and Honesty throughout the play you deliver, and ensure the wellbeing and happiness of children is always put first.

Your reliable and pro-active nature will thrive in this environment and will make a huge difference to the children in your care. We are looking for someone who holds a Level 3 qualification in early years, play work or childcare provision, with a paediatric first aid qualification.

The post will be based at Middleton Primary School, Wollaton, but applicants must be willing to support sessions across our various sites in Nottinghamshire/Nottingham city as and when required, including YMCA Camp Williams (West Bridgford).
