Job Vacancy

Housing Shift Manager

We are recruiting for a Housing Shift Manager to support our housing team in providing a secure and safe environment.

Do you have experience managing teams in a hostel environment? Would you like to make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable adults? If so, we would love to hear from you! Part time working will cover Friday night – Sunday night (rotating day and night shifts). Or maybe you are looking for full time work? Full time hours are Monday to Friday, rotating day and night shifts.

We are seeking Housing Shift Managers who have the confidence to support our team in providing a secure and safe environment – whilst driving standards of professionalism and good communication. You’ll look after the planning of rotas, and work with your manager and the Housing Shift Managers team to ensure consistency of service and coverage.

You will be organised and capable of maintaining manual and computerised records to a high standard.

Your meticulous record keeping and eye for detail will be key as you manage a variety of key processes: Everything from mail distribution, to rent payments, CCTV monitoring, allocations of accommodation, security patrols, minor repairs and routine health and safety and fire safety checks.

We are supporting more people than ever before and your ability to support a high performing culture in your team will make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable people, and society as a whole. You’ll set the example for empathy and a person centred approach.

As your contribution to our YMCA evolves, we’ll support you with training and opportunities for progression where appropriate. We provide a significant programme of workplace benefits including YMCA gym membership and access to support for childcare, transport or health cash plans.

If you are as passionate as we are about quality supported housing provision and want to make a difference to the lives of the people who live with us, then please apply.

This post is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check (which we will pay for) and registration with the DBS Update Service.
