Housing Officer

We are recruiting for a Housing Officer with experience of working in a supported housing or supported living environment who can help us maintain a safe place to stay for vulnerable people in Nottingham.

Your success in this role will be measured by your ability to maintain a safe and secure place to live and work as part of the wider YMCA housing team. You’ll contribute to resident’s daily lives by providing a friendly and welcoming reception service, helping with allocations of accommodation and completing routine safety checks and basic maintenance.

We are looking for a professional, flexible and reliable person, who is looking to work Full Time on a rotational basis, which will include day shifts, evenings, nights and weekends. Taking great pride in your empathy and person-centred approach, you’ll excel in both your communication and problem-solving skills.

Our ideal candidate will be confident in lone working situations and have a good understanding of conflict resolution management. Meticulous record keeping and an eye for detail will be key as you manage a variety of processes from mail distribution and rent payments, to CCTV monitoring and security patrols. Professional and with a caring nature, your ability to support a high performing culture in your team will make a real difference to the lives of residents.

Housing Officer (Nottingham and Mansfield)

Location: Based across Nottinghamshire with travel to Mansfield Hostel and
Department: Housing
Responsible to: Shift Manager
Hours: 37.5 hours – Full Time including early mornings, evenings and nights and with some work at weekends as required
Salary: £9.50 per hour / £18596.25 per annum (pro rata)
