Housing Manager – Mansfield
Could you help enable young people, refugees, and other vulnerable adults to achieve independent living? Are you an excellent mediator with a good understanding of the needs of people from diverse backgrounds? Do you have the confidence to implement positive change?
The Role
Your role as a Housing Manager will be to provide an effective and comprehensive housing management and tenancy support service for vulnerable residents. You will manage a team of Tenancy Support Officers and our temporary accommodation sites in the City. Deputising for the Housing Development Manager, your focus will be on sustaining tenancies and improving tenant’s journeys, through developing relationships with partner organisations, local communities, and resident involvement.
Our ideal candidate will have a recognised housing qualification and experience of providing housing management and/or supported housing services and managing staff teams effectively. Possessing excellent conflict resolution skills, you will be a clear leader, passionate about best practice and individual and team performance.
It is desirable that you have a full driving licence (as travel between our sites is required) and have excellent knowledge of the welfare and benefits system, safeguarding and housing and homelessness legislation. You will need to be confident managing budgets and funding opportunities, designing and implementing policies, and reporting.
