Job Vacancy

Domestic Assistant (County Transitional Homes)

We are recruiting for a dedicated Domestic Assistant! Could you contribute to the wellbeing of those working towards independent living?

Our Transitional Homes provide shelter and safety for residents from our hostels who are on the way to independent living. You will be responsible for the overall cleanliness of various Nottinghamshire YMCA sites, as well as the routine checking of resident rooms and recognising health and safety risks.

Our ideal candidate has experience in the cleaning or hospitality industries with a diverse client base. Your role will be crucial to providing residents with an environment where they can thrive and be the best that they can be.

It is essential that you have your own transport and a full driving licence, as you will need to travel between sites with cleaning equipment. You’ll possess excellent knowledge of health and safety and COSHH regulations.

In return, we can offer you training and development opportunities, great workplace benefits and the opportunity to work for an employer who really cares about you. In addition to free gym membership, childcare in the school holidays at a huge discount and free counselling sessions, we also offer time off for smoking cessation, generous holiday entitlement and paid volunteer leave (and much more!).

As travel between sites is required, a full driving licence and access to own vehicle is essential for this role. This post is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check (paid for by YMCA) and registration with the DBS Update Service.
