Domestic Assistant / Cleaner – County Transitional Homes
Do you want to help create the best possible living environment for vulnerable adults and young people? Could you contribute to the well-being of those working towards independent living?
If you are reliable and committed with a good understanding of the needs of people from diverse backgrounds – we would love to hear from you!
Our Transitional Homes provide shelter and safety for residents from our homeless hostels who are on the way to independent living. You will be responsible for the overall cleanliness of various YMCA Robin Hood Group sites, as well as the routine checking of resident rooms and recognising health and safety risks.
Our ideal candidate has experience in the cleaning or hospitality industries with a diverse client base. Your role will be crucial to providing residents with an environment where they can thrive and be the best that they can be.
It is essential that you have your own transport and a full driving licence, as you will need to travel between sites with cleaning equipment. You’ll possess excellent knowledge of health and safety and COSHH regulations. You’ll be confident working independently and passionate about working as part of a team to ensure the highest standards are achieved and maintained.
In return, we can offer you the flexibility to work 37.5 hours between the hours of 8am – 8pm Monday to Sunday, auto enrolment to the workplace pension scheme, training and development opportunities, great workplace benefits and the opportunity to work for an employer who really cares about you. As well as free gym membership, childcare in the school holidays at £50 per week and free counselling sessions, we also offer time off for smoking cessation, generous holiday entitlement and paid volunteer leave (and much more!).
