Community and Social Work Manager

Do you possess exceptional interpersonal, presentation and communication skills coupled with the ability to relate to and engage refugees and other residents effectively?

 

The Role
In this exciting role you will be required to lead and manage our Opportunity and Change project, focussing on the provision of our employability support service accessing care act support from local authorities. You will develop effective partnerships with a range of internal and external stakeholders across the city and the county, and will effectively manage all aspects of recruitment, training and development and performance of support staff. You will manage and prepare key performance and financial information, and will assist in sourcing and securing funding opportunities.

To be successful for this role you must be at least two years social work post qualified and possess the ability and experience to provide social work services and support to adults including refugees and those with mental health, drug and alcohol dependency issues and ex offenders. You will possess experience of the voluntary and community sector and supported housing, and will be able to demonstrate the development of positive relationships with managers, employees, refugees, residents, young people and external partners.

You will possess a Social Work England approved qualification e.g.  a degree in Social Work, Certificate of Qualification in Social Work (CQSW) or Diploma in Social Work (DipSW), and a clear in depth understanding of safeguarding issues.

The post is funded by The National Lottery Community Fund and the European Social Fund (ESF) until 31st March 2023.
