Casual Creative Leader
The Role
YMCA Digital is our flagship youth service in Nottinghamshire, providing people aged 8-19 with skills, mentoring and support to fulfil their potential through creative arts and digital media. From MCing to game design, theatre to podcasting – we create exceptional opportunities for local young people through relaxed, inclusive, creative sessions.
As a Casual Creative Leader, you’ll have the chance to share your own skills, passions and creative style with young people from the local community. By leading and co-ordinating sessions, you’ll be inspiring participants to develop their own creativity, build self-esteem and to value integrity, respect and collaboration with others.
In particular, we are looking for creatives with experience in Drama and Theatre, Music, Dance, Arts and Crafts and Game Design, but are open to enquiries from other areas.
Main responsibilities are to:
- Design inclusive arts activities within your own specialist area
- Co-ordinate and lead sustained creative projects, workshops and activities with children and young people
- Build collaborative links with local partners, such as community groups, arts organisations and schools
