Nottinghamshire YMCA is the City’s Exercise Referral Provider.
Active4Life GP Referral is a 16 week programme run by Nottinghamshire YMCA. Working in partnership with Nottingham PCT and other local healthcare professionals, we aim to encourage and support anyone who can benefit from making their lives more active.
You will be offered a number of one to one sessions which will last about half an hour each. In the sessions, you will have the opportunity to talk about your likes, dislikes and concerns about physical activity. The Physical Activity Advisors will aim to support you while you increase your physical activity and will always work to your pace. We are offering you the opportunity to participate in regular activity:
- With friendly one to one support
- Lead by fully qualified exercise professionals
- In your community
- That YOU want to do
There is a range of activities - from chair-based exercise and Pilates through to Nordic walking and circuit training.
A timetable of exercise classes is available
