Nottinghamshire YMCA is a not-for-profit organisation and we rely on regular giving from our supporters. Your donations can make a real difference to the people with whom we work across Nottinghamshire. Click here to find out how to give financially.

Donations

You can make a one-off or regular donation in the following ways:

• By cheque: Please send cheques made payable to 'Nottinghamshire YMCA' to us at 4 Shakespeare Street, Nottingham NG1 4FG.
• By cash: Please do not send cash in the post. We can accept cash donations in person at 4 Shakespeare Street, Nottingham, and a receipt will be issued where required.
• By standing order: Please call us on 0115 855 3314 and speak to our Finance Department about setting up regular donations to us.
• Online: Click this link, scroll to the bottom of the window and enter the amount you wish to donate.
• EasyFundraising: Raise money for us by searching or shopping online through our EasyFundraising account.
• Leaving a Legacy: Thousands of loyal charity supporters have shown the strength of their commitment by leaving money in a will to good causes like ours. You can leave anything you want - it doesn't matter if you can only afford a small amount, it is still important to us. We know that it represents your commitment to our cause and we will receive it with gratitude and appreciation.
  
  Legacies are an extremely tax-efficient way to support causes you care about because legacies left to charities are completely free of inheritance tax. Nottinghamshire YMCA would receive 100% of any gift you choose to leave.
  
  To make a will or to add Nottinghamshire YMCA to an existing will, please contact your solicitor or local Citizen's Advice Bureau for assistance.

How do we use the money?

Our spending and budgets are closely monitored by our Finance Committee which meets on a monthly basis and is led by volunteers from outside the YMCA with financial expertise. In addition, our annual budget and any large expenditure is always approved by our Board of Trustees...

International Work

Nottinghamshire YMCA actively supports YMCAs in Zambia, Zimbabwe and Malawi, as well as having links with YMCAs in Germany and America...

Volunteering

Would you like to get involved in the YMCA's activities as a volunteer? We have a variety of opportunities with residents, children and young people, throughout Nottinghamshire - as well as in health & fitness, maintenance and gardening. Visit the Volunteering page.

International Child Sponsorship

In April 2006 we introduced our Sponsor a Child scheme. It costs just £12 per month to support a child in Zambia, providing them with food, clothing and an education. Please download the flyer to find out more about getting involved in this worthwhile scheme.
