Planning, Preparation and AssessmentNottinghamshire YMCA's Children & School Services Department are delighted to offer a highly successful PPA (Planning, Preparation and Assessment) program. PPA is a Government initiative which provides teachers with time away from the classroom to plan and prepare for lessons. Our school services department has created a programme to fit with your school and your needs. We provide Fully Enhanced CRB checked staff with numerous sporting qualifications to their names, at a highly desirable level to plan and teach curriculum based PE lessons for all pupils in reception to year 6 while your school receives the best quality PE lessons expected in our delivery. Each member of staff will plan their own exciting PE lession to link with your school and the national curriculum. They run and complete risk assessments for their activities and help support your teachers in the final end of year reports by providing child assessments at the end of every subject taught.
Renowned for our delivery of PPA, we work to the national curriculum standard of Physical Education including School Swimming, PSHE & Spanish to help meet the demands of each and every schools PPA needs. Our department boast 6 highly qualified first aid and safeguarding trained staff that work full time delivering our services. We deliver 86 curriculum based PPA sessions per week, teaching over 2650 kids on a weekly basis between our staff. PricingThe PPA pricing structure has recently been evaluated to tie in with new service level agreements issued to all schools participating in the PPA Programme.
Disability SportsSchool services department also offer a wide range of disability sports to special schools in Nottinghamshire. Having our very own specialist for disability sports, this is a very popular chose for schools when off timetable and wanting at raise awareness for children in disabled sports. School Services department also offers a variety of after schools clubs. These clubs run for an hour after the school day and can be offered in a variety of activities including Sport Specific and disability clubs to more general ones such as multi skills, mulit sports. These clubs are a fantastic and increasing way to keep children fit and active during their normal school week. With dodge ball proving to be a very popular choice for schools and children, we also offer football, rounders, gymnastics, cross country running, tag rugby and many more. Children are desperate to take part in an extra hour of organised yet exciting activities after their school day. These clubs can be offered and funded by the school for their children to access or can be offered by the YMCA in your school to extend your choice of extended services in your school. The YMCA EthosEach member of staff will plan their own PE session to link with your school, The will run and complete risk assessments for their activities and help support your teacher in the final year reports by providing child assessments at the end of every subject taught.
