Learning Skills Development CentreThe new, purpose built community facility at 59 Commercial Gate opened its doors for the first time in 2007. The Centre is the result of years of research and planning by the YMCA who also occupy the adjacent building in the town's Commercial Gate. The main objective of the Centre is to provide a facility to train and develop people from the local community, homeless young people and support the local business community, acting as a hub, connecting the local community to engage in training and development. The Training Skills Development Department provides support, guidance, advice and training from The Training Skills Development accredited OCN centre in Mansfield to socially excluded vulnerable homeless and the wider community in Mansfield to help them move into training, education and sustainable employment. Delivering outreach support throughout Mansfield, Ashfield and Newark and Sherwood. Working with local authorities to deliver services working in partnership. Check out the map YMCA HousingOur purpose built hostel in Mansfield provides 22 bedroom 'quick access accommodation' for 16-25 year olds and 3 shared move on properties for service users who have attained sufficient independence within the hostel. The service we provide is for homeless men and women who may have substance misuse and alcohol problems or mental health and life/social skills related issues...
