Learning Skills Development Centre

The new, purpose built community facility at 59 Commercial Gate opened its doors for the first time in 2007. The Centre is the result of years of research and planning by the YMCA who also occupy the adjacent building in the town's Commercial Gate. The main objective of the Centre is to provide a facility to train and develop people from the local community, homeless young people and support the local business community, acting as a hub, connecting the local community to engage in training and development.

The Training Skills Development Department provides support, guidance, advice and training from The Training Skills Development accredited OCN centre in Mansfield to socially excluded vulnerable homeless and the wider community in Mansfield to help them move into training, education and sustainable employment.

Delivering outreach support throughout Mansfield, Ashfield and Newark and Sherwood. Working with local authorities to deliver services working in partnership. Delivering Job MAET’s, NEET, Working Neighborhood Fund projects and a range of red and amber courses throughout Mansfield and Ashfield and Newark and Sherwood.
