Y-Kids and Extreme Camps
At Nottinghamshire YMCA we have a long experience in running exciting Holiday Activities for children in the City and County. Activities take place during Half Terms as well as the Summer, Easter and Christmas holidays. During 2006/07 over 3,500 children took part in our Holiday camps programme!

Ready for Work success for residents
Two Nottinghamshire YMCA residents have benefited from the programme, Hazem Albadawi and Alzubair Yousif. They participated in a pre-employment training course and then progressed on to a work placement at the Royal Mail. They have both received certificates for their involvement that were presented by the Sheriff of Nottingham. Ready for Work is a tried and tested partnership of Business in the Community, community organisations and employers.

YMCA members run the Sport Relief mile
On a damp Sunday afternoon in March, 18 staff, volunteers and residents turned up at the Nottingham Embankment to run a mile in aid of Sport Relief. They raised around £250 towards the charity’s projects. Congratulations to all who participated!

Exercise Referral (or GP Referral) offers Active 4 Life, a 16 week programme run by Nottinghamshire YMCA. Working in partnership with Nottingham PCT and other local healthcare professionals, we aim to encourage and support anyone who can benefit from making their lives more active.
