Day Camp Site Information & FAQ
FAQHow do I book? For Holiday Camps simply complete the booking form (available to the right or from our Holiday Camp Brochure) and post it to the address shown. Additionally, you may also book by telephoning 0115 855 3318 or e-mailing the form to ymcadaycamps@nottsymca.org. How do I communicate with YMCA staff on site?We encourage parents and staff to communicate as we believe it helps the children to have the best experience possible. Our staff will let you know about your child's successes and any problems. We would appreciate it if you are able to let us know if there is anything upsetting your child so we can better meet their needs and help with interaction with others. We will keep personal information confidential. What if my child is ill or absent? Please call 0115 855 3318 or e-mail ymcadaycamps@nottsymca.org by 8.30am to notify us. For your child's safety and to protect other children, please do not send your child if he/she is ill. In the event of a medical emergency, we will make every effort to contact Parents/Guardians before arranging medical treatment. If this is not possible we will inform you at the earliest possible time afterwards. Because we have planned activities and staffing, we are not able to provide refunds for missed days. A credit note may be given if absence is due to an illness or injury when a doctor's note is provided. What are the drop off and pick-up times?Drop-off times are between 8:30am and 9:30am, pick-up times are between 4:30pm and 5:30pm. Your child must be collected by the latest published time. Failure to do so will result in a late collection fine of £2.00 per 15 minutes thereof. How do I sign my child in or out?For your child's safety, an authorised adult must sign your child in and out of camp each day. What should children bring with them? All children should come dressed for fun! No open-toed sandals or heels please!
Please make sure everything has your child's name on it. NB Nottinghamshire YMCA does not accept responsibility for personal possessions. Parents should ensure items are adequately labelled and covered by insurance. What happens if a Holiday Camp is cancelled? In the very unlikely event that a programme is cancelled due to staff illness or particularly inclement weather, children will be issued with a voucher for a future course. A note on inclusion*Our programmes are designed to be inclusive and children with special needs are welcome. Participants will receive additional support when possible. To find out if this programme is right for your child please contact Children's Services on 0115 855 3318. * Please let us know of any special needs when booking
