| Did you know that the International Community Centre (ICC) on Mansfield Road provides meeting rooms, permanent office accommodation and shared resources for community organisations? In 2007 alone we supported over 120 regular user groups, 4,500 learning sessions, and 75,000 visitors! |

| What's on offer? |
| Educational and leisure activities for older adults, English language classes and cultural integration for refugees and asylum seekers, chair based exercise for Active4Life participants, fund-raising activities, life-skills training, support for adults with learning disabilities and mental health problems, education for disengaged school pupils (NEET), dance, drama and physical activities with a cultural emphasis for young people, physical activity training, religious events, committee meetings for the voluntary sector and community groups, self help groups and counselling sessions to name but a few! | Who uses the centre? | |
| People using the Centre come from a diverse range of cultural backgrounds, including Pakistan, India, China, West and East Europe, Africa and Brazil. There is also a wide age range of Centre users, from primary school aged children through to the retired. There are numerous organisations using the Centre, who deliver services to people at risk of isolation. Such services include cultural integration sessions for refugees and asylum seekers, social network groups for people suffering varying levels of mental health issues and life-skills projects for adults with learning disabilities. |

| Welcoming staff | |
| Staff at the ICC provide a welcoming atmosphere and are always happy to help ensure that bookings run smoothly. They adapt rooms to meet individual group needs and provide administrative support such as photocopying, and sending or receiving faxes. | |
| Need equipment? | |
| Equipment available to user groups includes overhead projectors, TVs, video and DVD players. Many of the rooms are equipped with induction loop hearing support and additional resources are installed to meet the changing needs of users. Staff are on-hand to assist groups with their event planning and can provide contact details of catering companies and similar services. User satisfaction is monitored through Customer Care forms which generally describe a high level of satisfaction with the service provided by the ICC staff. .and for 2008 Plans for the development of the ICC this year include:
