| 59 COMMERCIAL GATE - New Training and Skills Development Centre and Coffee Shop 'Y59' | |
The new, purpose built community facility at 59 Commercial Gate opened its doors for the first time in 2007. The Centre is the result of years of research and planning by the YMCA who also occupy the adjacent building in the town's Commercial Gate. The main objective of the Centre is to provide a facility to train and develop people from the local community, homeless young people and support the local business community, acting as a hub, connecting the local community to engage in training and development such as; First Steps to Catering, Digital Media and Personal Development.

| Coffee shop 'Y59' | |
| The coffee shop is located on the ground floor of the Training and Development Centre 59 Commercial Gate, Mansfield and is called 'Y59' Coffee shop. Open Monday to Friday 9am - 2pm, Y59 offers an extensive day time menu of locally sourced produce and Fairtrade goods in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The Coffee Shop is run as a social enterprise project with four social aims:
The 'Y59' Coffee Shop is engaging with homeless people aged between 16 and 25 years and the local community including intergenerational work with senior citizens, families, lone parents. It offers first steps to employment training by provision of programs such as Entry to Employment. |

| Facilities |
| Facilities include a Board Room, which is equipped with an interactive white board and projector and can accommodate up to 20 people, and an I.T. room which accommodates eight people. In addition, we have two smaller offices for four and five people. |

| Our site at Commercial Gate in Mansfield provides supported housing to homeless and vulnerable people within a safe, welcoming and Christian environment. |

Our purpose built hostel in Mansfield provides 22 bedroom 'quick access accommodation' for 16-25 year olds and 3 shared move on properties for service users who have attained sufficient independence within the hostel.
The service we provide is for homeless men and women who may have substance misuse and alcohol problems or mental health and life/social skills related issues.
Our Housing Team and visiting professionals offer a variety of services for residents providing help, advice and support. Service users are able to address their individual needs and aspirations through one to one sessions and are given the opportunity to access resources on site or externally.
We provide a Lifeskills Programme which aims to give residents basic skills in a range of subjects which may include; cooking, art, photography, literacy and numeracy.
