CHRISTIAN AND SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT

The YMCA is a Christian movement, and at Nottinghamshire YMCA we employ a Christian and Spiritual Development worker to encourage and support individuals including staff, residents and service users.

Alpha
We have recently run an Alpha course in partnership with St Andrews church, which gives an accessible introduction to the Christian faith. Hugely successful, we are looking forward to running the next one, and offering the opportunity to help answer questions about Christianity.
For more Nottinghamshire YMCA Alpha information, please contact
rob.hurd@nottinghamymca.org.uk.
We are also Business Alpha partners. This is an Alpha Course designed specifically for those working in the City of Nottingham to investigate Christianity in a neutral environment at lunch times.

Set Aside
Christian staff members meet regularly to pray for the organisation and encourage each other.

Nottinghamshire YMCA works in partnership with a number of churches around the city, including the Christian Centre and St. Andrew's. Further links are being made with other churches and Christian groups in the area.

In addition our Christian and Spiritual Development Worker runs workshops with our residents, based around moral and spiritual themes, as part of the Lifeskills programme.
